While it may feel like summer when the new school year starts, fall is quickly approaching!  I absolutely love incorporating the seasons into our daily routines and centers.  And the kids love it too!  It becomes familiar to them in the room, as well as in their everyday environments.

Not sure where to start?  Let’s look at some ways I help my students learn about all things Fall 🍂

Seasonal Playdough Mats

These playdough mats are fun, hands on, engaging and EASY TO PREP! All you have to do is print them and laminate them.  Use them for independent work activities, small group centers or even indoor recess.  Your students will practice their fine motor skills creating the images on the mats with the playdough, while working on their seasonal vocabulary at the same time.  Some of the fall mats include: pumpkin, rake, leaf, hay and more!

Seasonal Clothing Sorting Mats

Learning about the appropriate clothing to wear throughout the seasons is a VERY important life skill.  And honestly – most kids are learning this through their entire academic career because they just want to wear what they want to wear, right?  So let’s start them early!  Use these sorting mats as each season approaches to understand what clothing should be worn during that season – but then use it with the prior AND current season to see the real differences in the types of clothes that should be worn in each season.

Fall Themed Task Cards + Boom Cards

Using task boxes and boom cards are perfect for independent work activities, as well as testing new skills / monitoring progress on current skills.  In this bundle – you can access OVER 500 task cards and boom card decks.  Everything from matching, sorting, same/different, colors, counting, shapes, and SO MUCH MORE!
