If you live in Ontario, you have probably heard by now that we are switching back to online learning. I wanted to share one tool that has SAVED me during virtual learning.
Have you heard of Boom Cards? They are essential digital task cards! They are engaging, interactive and my students love them. Boom cards are digital resources that you can access on a computer, tablet or phone! They are perfect to use in the classroom or at home!
Boom Cards are self-checking, and your students will receive immediate feedback. This is so important when students are asked to complete a task independently.
You can assign the same decks to all your students or individualize them! It is perfect for my self-contained classroom as my students are on completely different academic levels. As the teacher, you are also provided with important data. You can see correct/incorrect answers, timing, attempts and so much more! This is important because it allows you to change the assigned decks based on your student’s data. Since we can’t be in the classroom this data can be used to help write progress reports and IEP updates!
First, you need to create an account with Boom Learning. It is free to make an account and there are tons of free decks that you can download.
